Hong Kong 2070.- More affordable cities could work as new "farms" to supply the needs of the C-Cities.

Life originates through perfectly structured ecosystems, where every link whose absence is a broken part in the chain. Therefore, it does not complete the life cycle. The man, along the years has been involved in a self-described role, where he intends to control and dominate the natural system through the attachment of large cities and technologies that let the individualistic side function of the nature reserve and it is also responsible for destroying it. There is a talk of sustainability when making energy use items, such as solar energy in new constructions, using it as a plus that acts for the building. Everything works fine until this speech discusses the fact that nature does not act on the basis of single type of energy, but is the set of all what completes the ecosystem. So, why not restore the system as we know it, and relocate it in a place where you can use all the energy. Return to the sea, where life comes from, a fundamental element that contains both, living beings and the entire planet.
Let's return fertility to the land; creating new architecture that acts in conjunction with the ecosystem becoming a part of it. Since is not a plus, but it is life iteslf.

Perspective View

DUBAI 2070.- Cities who were forced to grow in a whimsical way

will be doomed because of it's high demand on excesive maintenance.

London 2070.- Some other cities, will rapidly be invaded by the nature, who claims the natural order of space and environment.

The proposal is more than a building, its purpose is to create critical debate about the possibility of a radical change in lifestyle of human beings, to migrate to new dimensions and adapt to a new theoretically feasible urban concept to meet human needs and to face the future. C-City has a similar function to nature, the integration and efficient use of renewable natural resources, the use of natural elements, and the reuse of organic waste. Everything is used, and nothing at all is wasted.  It works in a symbiosis with the environment through a system as complex as the inspiration itself.

Over time, humankind has abused the resources that our world offers; we have destroyed entire ecosystems and eroded the land to the point of infertility. The human population is expanding exponentially, and soon will not have room to grow. Our ambition for capitalistic success has made forget what is truly important.  We have abandoned the ideology of being a race that could coexist with the environment in total harmony.

Among these and other reasons, C-City intends to transfer the human species to a place where life began, the ocean. The intent of this mass pilgrimage is to let the ground rest, and renew its fertile.  It is fundamental to let nature restore itself, and regain what has always been.  If land represents ¼ of the earth's surface, then this small fraction must be used for what the ocean cannot do, such as large-scale farming, and the production of certain renewable resources. The ocean proposes new alternatives; its area is three times larger, and this is where humankind can find and harness even more renewable resources in order to obtain 100% of our electricity.

In order to live under the laws and conditions dictated by the nature (rather than those proclaimed by man), C-City strives to operate under a win-win situation with the environment.  For example, the form was taken from the structures of corals and sponges and incorporates a desalination system and the use of other resources offered by the sea. The underwater structural system of columns and platforms provides a substrate where corals can attach and create an artificial reef, which will provide substantial space for the proliferation of fauna and flora.

The use of renewable resources for energy has proven to be the right solution for meeting our energy needs.  However, man has been found that it is an error to use only one or two resources. We believe that resources must be combined.  As with the use of natural renewable resources such as fire (sun), water (sea), air (wind), earth (geothermic power); solid waste from the building supplies biomass based hydrogen power, and even a huge mercury battery that uses the leftover sodium from the inverse osmosis process.

The creation of several cities on the model of C-City requires an economical rapid transit system. The solution is based on magnetic trains, retrofitted for the cable car, and lifts that can move, even in irregular lines, thanks to their independent legs.
Man must return to where it all began. It is necessary to find redemption with nature. A resource based economy would be created in order to coexist with the environment.

Cuadruped magnetic elevator.

As new buildings are designed, the standard elevators means a waste of enery and it represent a space limitation. Powered with electromagnetic legs, this elevators can move freely through complex buildings.

Cuadruped electromagnetic cable car.

As s solution for horizontal displacements, electromagnetic trains and cable cars are used. All machines and systems in the C-city scheme are powered by clean electricity.

In this case, the cable car has an alternative power generator, the solar pannels on it's canopy.

The train has tidal turbines
